April 10 - Mammoet has completed the transportation and installation of a main cryogenic heat exchanger (MCHE) at a liquefaction project in southwest Louisiana, USA.

40 axle lines of self-propelled modular transporters (SPMT) were used to transport the equipment to the installation site.

The MCHE, which was 150 ft (45.72 m) long, 16 ft (4.8 m) in diameter and weighed a total of 576,000 lbs (262 tonnes), was raised via a tandem lift utilising a Demag CC-2800 crawler crane as the main crane and a Liebherr LR-1300sx crawler crane as a tail unit.

According to Mammoet, this is the second of three planned MCHE unit installations.
