MacSween has 20 years of engineering and fabrication project management experience and has worked with GEG for more than 11 years. He will be responsible for managing all aspects of project delivery from planning and draughting to production and testing.

Sutherland previously held the posts of facility superintendent and facility manager during his 16-year tenure at GEG. He will be responsible for assessing project and resource requirements, ensuring compliance of QHSE documents and procedures, whilst also tracking production schedules and costs. Coordinating the allocation of multi-trade disciplines is also the responsibility of the production manager, while ensuring personnel are suitably trained and qualified for their role.

GEG is playing a key role at the Moray West offshore wind farm project. In September 2023, the project’s developer, Ocean Winds, chose the port of Nigg (owned by GEG) as the marshalling location for 62 transition pieces prior to their installation at the 950 MW Moray West offshore wind farm. GEG will also provide preassembly support services for the marshalling of the transition pieces, encompassing a broad range of critical onsite services including craneage, logistics, mounting ancillary equipment, and inspection/repair support.
