The British International Freight Association (BIFA), as part of an ongoing reshuffle of its policy and compliance team, has promoted Paweł Jarza to policy, compliance and external affairs director.
Just last month, HLPFI reported that BIFA had rejigged its policy and compliance team – among which Jarza succeeded David Stroud as the association’s policy and compliance adviser – air. As policy, compliance and external affairs director, Jarza will now be tasked with the bulk of BIFA’s external lobbying and representation work, chiefly with several government departments, as well as key stakeholder groups.
A long-serving member of BIFA’s senior management team, Robert Windsor has taken on the senior policy adviser role, responsible for surface policy concerns, along with legal and insurance matters. Windsor has been leading a team that has been reviewing BIFA’s standard trading conditions (STC), which are reviewed on a periodic basis in response to industry developments and legislative alterations.
“The realignment of responsibilities will give Robert the opportunity to focus on the task in hand to ensure that a new set of BIFA STC remains as a foundation stone of the relationship between BIFA, its members and their customers,” said Steve Parker, BIFA director general.
Earlier this year, BIFA introduced an all-inclusive range of bitesize eLearning courses to its members.
