During September 2023, Blue Water said the warehouse will position the company as the largest project forwarder at the port, enhancing its capacity for future projects within the state of Queensland.

It will serve as a dedicated supply base facility for import and export operations, accommodating a mix of short-term transactional cargo and mid- to long-term storage services, comprising a 15,000 sq m indoor warehouse and a 31,746 sq m hardstand area.

The company has been on an expansion drive of late, opening offices in Walvis Bay, Namibia, and Cape Town, South Africa, as well as establishing a facility in the Jebel Ali Free Zone (JAFZA) in the UAE, a strategic hub in Santiago, Chile, a warehouse close to George Bush Intercontinental Airport, Houston, USA, along with a logistics warehouse for project and oversized cargo in Singapore.
