Crowley integrates liner division

Crowley Maritime Corporation will complete the merger of its liner services group into Crowley Logistics on January 1, 2019.

Steve Collar, senior vice president and general manager (pictured), will manage the newly integrated business unit.

“We have been moving in this direction for a while, and with the pending retirement of John Hourihan at the end of this year, this is an opportunity to restructure,” said Tom Crowley, company chairman and ceo.

In the restructured business, Collar will have responsibility for all aspects of the Crowley’s logistics activities including commercial, operations, offshore and financial.

The integration of the liner services group into Crowley Logistics was planned as part of a corporate restructuring announced earlier this year; the organisation will now operate with four distinct divisions: Crowley Fuels, Crowley Solutions, Crowley Shipping and Crowley Logistics.
