deugro has opened an office in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, to serve its clients in the south-eastern and central regions of Brazil.

The office is deugro’s third location in Brazil, complementing offices in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.

The focus, deugro explained, is on serving clients with full project freight forwarding solutions primarily within the mining industry, but also in the agriculture, industrial, automotive and other industries.

The Belo Horizonte office is led by Mark Hollenstein, regional director deugro Brasil, who has over 20 years of experience in the project forwarding industry and has been leading deugro’s Brazilian offices for nearly 10 years.

deugro said it has been strengthening its Brazilian team and deepening its footprint in the mining industry. Part of this strategy included the hire of Aliny Santos as business development manager, who has been working in the mining industry and the Minas Gerais region for more than a decade and will complement deugro’s sales and business development team, the company said.
