Rotra Futura and Rotra Horizon have been equipped with with Liebherr LS-C 100 ship cranes.

Developed in collaboration with Concordia Damen and deugro, the Rotra vessels combine a ro-ro/lo-lo design that are now equipped with Liebherr’s advanced crane technology. Each vessel has three LS-C 100 cranes apiece, each offering a lifting capacity of up to 70 tonnes.

Lieberr said this configuration ensures maximum flexibility across ports, reduces dependency on external equipment and supports uninterrupted logistics for the growing offshore wind sector.

“Having both vessels equipped and in service means we can now offer uninterrupted blade transport across Europe and the USA,” said the Amasus’ management team.

Fresh from delivery in China, the newest vessel, Rotra Horizon, arrived in European waters in September carrying wind turbine tower sections. Built at Jiangsu Zhenjiang Shipyard, it measures 167.6 m x 26 m and is purpose-designed for the demands of the offshore wind industry.
