DSV Panalpina has changed its name back to DSV at its extraordinarily general meeting.

The company has been operating as DSV Panalpina since 2019, when DSV acquired the Swiss freight forwarder.

With the DKK30 billion (USD4.8 billion) acquisition of Agility’s Global Integrated Logistics business (GIL), which was finalised on August 16, DSV will undergo its most significant change of the business since the acquisition of Panalpina. The company said: “With this change, the timing is right to change the name of the parent entity back to DSV and secure brand consistency across all markets and operations.”

In line with the acquisition of GIL, Tarek Sultan Al-Essa, currently the vice chairman of Agility, has been elected as the company’s representative on DSV’s board of directors.
