December 23 - Gefco has expanded its North African network by setting up a subsidiary in Algeria.

The group's Algerian subsidiary will focus on the automotive and energy sectors - two industries that Gefco says are growing in the country.

Moreover, said Gefco, Algeria is well positioned on trade corridors and its logistics sector is experiencing a significant change, driven by investment plans and infrastructure projects.

"North Africa is a promising and dynamic region in terms of international trade," said Jean-Paul Ornano, managing director of Gefco Morocco and the group's area manager for North Africa.
