Hapag-Lloyd has appointed Lars Christiansen as senior managing director in Asia and Dheeraj Bhatia as senior managing director of the Middle East region.
Christiansen will succeed Joachim Schlotfeldt, who was appointed chief personnel and global procurement office (cpo) on the executive board in April 2018, as part of Hapag-Lloyd's reorganisation of its executive board, as HLPFI reported here.
Having previously worked for Maersk and UASC, Christiansen joined Hapag-Lloyd in 2017 as head of the Middle East region. He will be succeeded by Bhatia, who most recently served as managing director, India.
