Port agency and marine services provider Inchcape Shipping Services has expanded into Indonesia with new offices in Merak, Java, and another in Dumai, Sumatra.
Citing energy, industrial and plantation sectors, Inchcape will use the new locations to strengthen its presence in two busy industrial port clusters – each of which handle roughly 150 port calls every year.

“Our mission is clear: to be close to our customers and present where their operations take place,” said Galih Wicaksono, general manager – Indonesia at Inchcape.
The Merak port area – covering ports Cigading, Ciwandan and Anyer – have dedicated industrial jetties and terminals which allow for cargo operations for heavy industries. Comprising ports Lubuk Gaung and Pelintung, the Dumai port area regularly supports the energy and plantation industries.
Both offices will provide services which include full port agency, Customs clearance, P&I matters and bunkering and fuel operations.
During 2025, HLPFI reported that Inchcape opened an office in Geoje, South Korea, and in Las Palmas, Spain.
