Inchcape Shipping Services has opened an office in Geoje, South Korea – a strategic hub for shipbuilding and offshore projects.

Geoje, Inchcape said, plays a critical role in the construction of LNG carriers, container vessels, naval ships and offshore platforms. The expansion there increases Inchcape’s footprint in South Korea to three offices, including Seoul and Busan, covering 23 ports nationwide.
“Opening in Geoje allows us to be closer to our customers and the heart of [South] Korea’s shipbuilding industry,” said Sichang Lee, Korea country manager. “This expansion strengthens our ability to support complex offshore projects and provide tailored solutions for liner, tanker, and naval operators.”
The office will primarily focus on government and defence and marine and offshore markets. It will offer a comprehensive suite of services, including offshore project logistics.
According to Inchcape, it has already supported several major projects in Geoje, including FPSO sail-away operations for offshore energy projects heading to Brazil and comprehensive drillship support projects providing end-to-end logistics and coordination for multiple drillships at shipyards in Geoje. The team has also facilitated operations for jack-up vessels supporting offshore wind energy projects.
