July 5 - Neptune Lines has appointed Inchcape Shipping Services (ISS) as agent for its new Middle East Gulf short sea service in Kuwait, Iraq and Qatar.

ISS will provide full port agency, vessel husbandry and liner services, as well as vehicle documentation, for the new service, which will be served by the ro-ro ship Neptune Ploes.

The vessel, which can accommodate up to 750 units, will connect eight countries and ports across the Middle East Gulf on the weekly service, which includes port calls in the UAE, Oman and Saudi Arabia.

Neptune Lines caters mainly for car transportation, but is also capable of carrying rolling stock, including a variety of high and heavy cargoes, on its services.
