Empire Energy has teamed up with Kuehne+Nagel (K+N) to strengthen the way offshore wind projects are delivered.
Empire Energy is a specialist provider of offshore wind services and, in combination with K+N’s global logistics expertise, the partners intend offer a unique proposition for wind energy project developers and OEMs. The scope covers turbine assembly, commissioning and operations through to heavy lift transport, port staging and international freight forwarding.
Felipe Cecilio, global project logistics solutions manager for K+N, said: “Taking on complex offshore wind projects with transport of heavy and oversized cargo requires global experts who know how to handle complex supply chains, risk management and strict deadlines. Together with Empire Energy, we will be able to provide tailored solutions to meet each customer’s needs.”
Earlier this month, HLPFI reported that K+N had appointed Eduardo Razuck and Søren Schmidt to its managerial board.
