Noatum names new commercial director

December 14 - Kim Gadegaard has been appointed new commercial director for Noatum Terminals, one of Spain's leading maritime terminal and port operation services companies.

Gadegaard (pictured below) has a good experience in international maritime management and transportation working at A.P.Moller - Maersk for more than 30 years. The last two years he has been engaged as a senior consultant forMercator advising on terminals acquisitions and shipping line restructuring.

He joins Noatum during an important time for the company, which has very ambitious commercial goals for the coming years after the acquisition of Dragados SPL from ACS in November 2010, by a consortium of institutional investors under the consultation of JP Morgan Asset Management and the Dutch pension fund ABP.

Noatum Ports states that it is the largest maritime terminal operator in Spain, with assets in Bilbao, Valencia, Málaga and Las Palmas, as well as the largest vehicle handling terminal in the Mediterranean, based in Barcelona, plus dry bulk and general cargo terminals in Santander, Sagunto and the Intermodal Terminal of Puerto Seco de Coslada in Madrid.

Marmedsa Noatum Maritime is a leading independent shipping, forwarding and transportation services operator in the Iberian Peninsula with offices across Spain, Portugal, France and Morrocco.

Marmedsa Noatum Maritime is involved in the operations of dry bulk and general cargo terminals in Castellon, Valencia, Bilbao, Cartagena (TMC), A Coruña and Ferrol (TMGA).
