Propellor Club lands in Bilbao

August 16 - A new branch of the Propeller Club has been created in Bilbao, Spain, with seven founding members.

The inaugural meeting earlier this summer of the International Propeller Club of the Basque Country Port of Bilbao was attended by 60 individuals, including logistics entrepreneurs, directors and professionals from international commerce, joining forces to promote and enhance commercial activity within its area of influence.

The committee of the new club consists of Gerardo Tiedeman, Felipe Castaños, José Luis Trueba, Juan Mari Ruiz, Antxón Ascorreta, Juan Carlos Maurer and Markus Schaub.

The Propeller Club is a non-profit organisation whose membership aims to promote and to enhance maritime, air, overland transport and international commerce including all those activities of professionals linked to the logistics, maritime, ports, warehousing, transport and distribution businesses. Created in New York in 1927, the Propeller Club is a grassroots institution with significant presence within the international port community exceeding more than 200 Clubs around the world.

The International Propeller Club of the Basque Country Port of Bilbao will celebrate meet bi-monthly with personalities from international trade, politicians, maritime, logistics, economics, as well as institutional and public administrations considered relevant to educate legislators and the public of the importance and necessity of waterborne commerce.
