April 9 - Lifting chain manufacturer RUD Ketten Rieger & Dietz has opened a new 6,000 sq m plant in Brisbane, Australia.
RUD has had a successful presence in the Australian market for many years financed by the country's burgeoning mining industry. The new EUR7 million (USD9.1 million) plant contains administrative offices, state-of-the-art warehousing and logistics facilities, and a production area.
"This investment ensures that RUD Australia will continue to grow in the future, which in turn ensures that our production sites in Germany will have plenty of work in the future," commented Dr Jörg Steffen Rieger at the official opening ceremony.
