Steel River Quay is partnering with Tusk Lifting.

As part of the partnership, Steel River Quay has also invested in Tusk Pro – Tusk Lifting’s bespoke asset management software – to streamline the inspection, management and tracking of lifting equipment across the quayside and multiple project sites.

Scott Brown, business development director at Tusk Lifting, added: “We’ve been working closely with the Steel River Quay management team since late 2023 to understand their operational needs and long-term goals. This agreement marks a key milestone and demonstrates a shared commitment to safety, reliability and innovation.”

The long-term partnership will see Tusk Lifting provide cutting-edge lifting equipment, comprehensive LOLER inspections and advanced asset management solutions – supporting Steel River Quay’s continued growth as a leading hub for offshore wind and renewable energy infrastructure on the River Tees.

The partnership comes off the back of Steel River Quay’s rapid growth and expansion, with its deepwater port, heavy lift capabilities and expansive laydown areas positioning it as a critical hub for offshore wind and renewable energy projects.

Part of the Teesworks site, Steel River Quay has been specially designed for offshore wind industry. Earlier this year, Ørsted confirmed that it will utilise a 300,000 sq m area of the site to support the construction of the Hornsea 3 offshore wind farm.
