August 9 - Helping project forwarders to improve efficiency by thinking 'outside the box' is a key objective of a two-day training course in New Orleans during the Breakbulk Americas week from October 24-27.

The Certificate of Achievement in Project Cargo Management two-day course is ISO-accredited and focuses on applied exercises and case studies prepared by experienced trainers.

Project cargo management specialist Kevin Stephens and professional communication consultant and guest presenter Rodger Hall developed the training modules to fill gaps which they perceived in the professional development options available to busy project forwarders.

"The course was requested by businesses that recognised a need to fast track skills and experience in the heavy lift freight forwarding sector," Stephens said.

"The professional development of project forwarding talent should be a priority investment that reduces any likelihood of failure from a lack of attention to detail and making wrong decisions."
