United Project Forwarding Group (UPF Group) has expanded its operations in Southern Africa with the appointment of Saulo Borges as the business development manager for South Africa.

UPF intends to strengthen its focus on corridors via Durban, Maputo, Beira and Dar es Salaam. Borges brings more than 17 years of expertise in logistics within Southern Africa to the role, most recently in Mozambique.  UPF said that his background and knowledge will benefit its clients in Zimbabwe, Zambia and Malawi. 

Launched at the start of the year and led by ceo Thomas Vestergaard, UPF is a group of logistics companies that provide all types of transportation modes with a special focus on European and African trade. 

Since the launch, UPF has been expanding its operations and last month opened an office in Lisbon, Portugal. The office is led by managing director Samuel Bonifacio.
