Denmark’s port of Kalundborg ordered a Model 7 Konecranes Gottwald mobile harbour Crane to meet expected container and general cargo demand at its newly developed New West Port.
The crane will join an older Konecranes Gottwald model 6 currently onsite and will be delivered in May 2021. APM Terminals will operate the G HMK 7608 variant, which has a maximum outreach of 54 m, and maximum lifting capacity of 150 tonnes.
The crane will have built-in readiness for an external power supply, so conversion to electric operation will be easy when resources allow, said the manufacturer.
