Iowa-based precast manufacturing firm Advanced Precast Company has added to its lifting and material handling capabilities by purchasing a DB50 rubber-tyred gantry crane from Shuttlelift.
Founded in 2008, Advanced Precast operates a 70,000 sq ft (6,503.2 sq m) facility equipped with four casting lines. Given the company’s growth in recent years, Advanced Precast felt it was necessary to invest in a new gantry crane.
Shuttelift’s DB50, with a lifting capacity of 50 tons (45.4 tonnes), has a spacious cab and platform layout, while its low-mounted hoist design allows for maintenance staff to easily access and service critical components from ground level or a ladder.
Shuttelift’s DB series offers gantry cranes with capacities ranging from 30 tons (27.2 tonnes) to 200 tons (181.4 tonnes).
