UK-based Dynamic Load Monitoring (DLM) is adding software to its range of load cells and monitoring equipment that captures data as tension is applied to lifting and marine equipment
The software as a service (SaaS) will be initially incorporated into DLM’s lines of tensile link and shackle load cells. YOKE Industrial Corporation chips and RiConnect software will allow users to track their assets; access documentation, like user manuals and calibration certificates; and more effectively manage inspection programmes.
RiConnect is a cloud-based SaaS provider; it is headquartered in Taiwan but opened RiConnect UK at the turn of the year. YOKE, meanwhile, uses the software primarily for certificates of conformity and safe use instructions. Notably, the company manufactures a durable range of radio frequency identification (RFID) tags, including BlueSupra, which work well with RiConnect software, and are incorporated into DLM equipment.
DLM is already implementing RFID technology into manufacturing processes to support clients with asset management digital transformation. The equipment can be used subsea down to 6,000 m.
