German crane and heavy haulage contractor Dietmar Floßdorf will expand its crane fleet with an 800-tonne capacity LTM 1750-9.1 mobile crane from Liebherr, the most powerful unit in its line-up. It has also added an LTR 1150 telescopic crawler crane, which boasts a lifting capacity of 150 tonnes.

Floßdorf’s LTR 1150 supporting its LTM 1750-9.1.

“We purchased the LTM 1750-9.1 to significantly expand our deployment options in the heavy duty and major assembly sectors, especially in relation to wind power”, said Marco Floßdorf, the company’s authorised signatory, who explained that the mobile crane’s high load capacity and adept mobility will allow the firm to install large hub heights and heavy components with efficiency.

Floßdorf’s LTR 1150 will supplement the LTM 1750-9.1 on wind farm projects, with the company highlighting its combination of high load capacity, rapid setup time and capability when it comes to challenging terrains. Floßdorf said: “The telescopic boom makes the setup work so much faster and simpler. And since the machine is optimised for transport, the LTR 1150 represents the perfect add-on for combined use with the LTM 1750-9.1.”

Last week, HLPFI reported that Liebherr had supplied cranes for an offshore jack-up vessel in the North Sea.
