April 14 - Intermarine has established a presence in Turkey with the opening of a new office in Istanbul.

The new branch will operate as part of the company's worldwide division, offering breakbulk and heavy lift cargo chartering services to the Caspian Sea region, as well as the Middle East Gulf, Far East, Americas, and West and South Africa.

The office will be headed up by managing director Daghan Engin, who joined Intermarine in Denmark as a chartering manager in 2012. Engin will work with the support of chartering manager, Sertac Sari, in Istanbul.

"Turkey is full of opportunity and has been a growing market for us," said Ask M. Munck, Intermarine managing director, worldwide chartering services.

Intermarine president and ceo Al Stanley added: "The combination of Intermarine's service offerings coupled with the location of the office will provide our clients in Turkey and the Mediterranean with tailor made solutions and a more complete services offering."
