Transford, part of transportation company Pace Group, has ordered two eco-efficient Konecranes Gottwald Model 4 mobile harbour cranes. They will be mobilised to Poti seaport in Georgia.

The 100-tonne lifting capacity G HSK 4440 variant cranes have a working radius of up to 46 m.

The cranes are equipped with an external power supply, eliminating local emissions and reducing energy and maintenance costs, according to Konecranes.

Konecranes added that the light, single-jib design and high working speed make the units highly productive and efficient for bulk cargo handling.

Transford operates across four berths at the port. The company said that it decided to acquire the two additional cranes to support its container and bulk cargo handling operations.

“Konecranes was able to provide the efficiency, reliability and customisation we require, based on a serial mobile crane type, which gives us reduced downtime and high spare part availability,” said Irakli Tateishvili, member of the board of directors of Pace Group.
