Germany-based crane company Vogel has taken a delivery of a 90-tonne mobile crane at Liebherr’s manufacturing plant in Ehingen.

The Liebherr LTM 1090-4.2 will replace a 20-year old LTM 1080/1 in the Vogel fleet.

“The 60 m telescopic boom and modern technology were the main criterion in our decision to purchase the unit,” said manager Martin Haug.

He added: “The new crane gives us 12 m more lifting height than our old 80-tonne machine. That is a major benefit for roof installations, sheet steel and structural work.”

Meanwhile, German crane service provider Henneberger Schwerlast has taken a delivery of a 250-tonne lifting capacity LTM 1250-5.1 mobile crane.

The five-axle crane will be used for the assembly of heavy machine parts in the automotive industry, prefabricated concrete components, and the erection and dismantling of tower cranes.
