In efforts to provide more sustainable options to the heavy lifting market, Mammoet has taken delivery of an XCA60_EV, a 60-tonne lifting capacity hybrid mobile crane, from China-based construction machinery manufacturer XCMG.

Equipped with a dual-power system, the XCA60_EV can operate in fully electric mode for up to eight hours. Its intelligent control system distributes torque based on real-time driving conditions, which – according to XCMG – results in at least 40 percent lower fuel consumption compared to conventional cranes.
“This delivery marks more than just a product handover – it’s a step forward in redefining what’s possible in sustainable lifting operations,” said Zhen Li, chairman at XCMG Europe.
Peter van Oostrom, director global assets at Mammoet, added: “We look forward to seeing it [the XCA60_EV] deliver real results for our clients, helping to reduce the carbon impact of projects, while increasing their safety.”
Last month, Mammoet launched its Industrial Solutions division.
