MAX Trailer has launched its MAX810 semi-low loader, which has an optimised tare weight, a higher payload than prior models and a modular combination of a front bogie and a loading platform.

The movement of wind turbine components is one on the suggested functions of the MAX810 trailer.

The MAX810’s loading platform features six or seven axles and is available with single or double extension, allowing it to be coupled to the gooseneck or extended with a two or three-axle front bogie. The gooseneck is hydraulically liftable and lowerable, while the trailer’s fifth wheel load of 38 tonnes makes it suitable for 6 x 4 or 8 x 4 tractor units.

“With the MAX810 we have created a vehicle that offers maximum flexibility with a minimal tare weight – all in familiar MAX Trailer quality,” said Mario Faymonville, product manager and sales director at MAX Trailer. “The MAX810 can be adapted to a wide variety of operating scenarios – from heavy-duty transport in road traffic through to demanding terrain conditions,” he added.

The trailer has 17.5 in (44.45 cm) pendle-axles that provide movability and stability on difficult terrain. It also has a 600-mm stroke, a 60-degree steering angle and a low loading height of just 800 mm – making it suited to transporting high loads. Hydraulic functions such as driving height and alignment can be controlled using the radio remote control feature. Hydraulic ramps allow loads to be driven onto the trailer, while several stakes and lashing points allow for flexible load securing.

The MAX810 is the latest product in the MAX trailer range after the MAX100, MAX200, MAX300, MAX410, MAX510, MAX600 and MAX710, which was launched earlier this year.
