Bahrain-based heavy haulage, crane and equipment rental provider Modern Mechanical Electrical & Transport Co (MMETCo) has added a 450-tonne capacity LTM 1450-8.1 mobile crane from Liebherr.

“We are experiencing growing demand for cranes with high lifting capacities and long reach. The LTM 1450-8.1 is a perfect fit for our fleet and enables us to execute even the most demanding projects efficiently and safely,” explained Mohamed Bucheeri, managing director at MMETCo.
The eight-axle crane has an 85-m telescopic boom which means that it does not need a luffing jib to reach notable heights. Given it has road approval with axle loads under 12 tonnes, the LTM 1450-8.1 is mobile and versatile. Meanwhile, its high lifting capacities across a wide working range make it suitable for a variety of projects, including in infrastructure, the industrial sector and high-rise construction.
Bucheeri added: “The 450-tonne crane from Liebherr bridges the gap between our mid-range all-terrain cranes and our heavy-duty solutions. It gives us the flexibility to realise larger projects efficiently without having to mobilise multiple units. At the same time, we increase our lifting capacity without compromising on mobility.”
Last week, HLPFI reported that Osprey Group had added an 800-tonne capacity Liebherr LTM 1750-9.1 all-terrain crane to its fleet.
