Germany’s Cuxport has strengthened its heavy-duty handling capacity with a new Liebherr LHM 600 mobile harbour crane (MHC).
At the commissioning ceremony, Rhenus Cuxport’s managing director Claudius Schumacher said the investment is a response to the growing demand from the wind energy industry.
The new unit can lift loads of up to 202.5 tonnes and can mobilised at all five berths – a further step in the expansion of the terminal in Cuxhaven.
Earlier this month, Liebherr dispatched four MHCs across Italy.
