January 20 - Danish shipping line Nordana has added Savannah, Georgia to its Mediterranean/Americas service, effective immediately. As a result, the Mediterranean/Americas service will no longer be calling on a regular basis into Jacksonville, Florida whi

The decision to make Savannah a fixed port of call is based on extensive market evaluations, says the line.

Nordana currently has a fleet of 25 ships, of which 15 are heavy lift carriers. The line operates two liner services encompassing four main trades: a ro-ro service operates in the trade between the Mediterranean and the Americas, while the conventional service operates in the trade between the Americas and West Africa.
