STS cranes arrive in Liverpool

Three ship-to-shore (STS) cranes have arrived at Peel Ports’ facilities in Liverpool, UK, onboard ZPMC’s heavy lift ship Zhen Hua 25.

Each crane measures 92 m high and weighs approximately 1,600 tonnes. They departed China on September 15 and passed through Southeast Asia, India, the Middle East Gulf and Africa, via the Cape of Good Hope before being transported along the River Mersey to Liverpool – a distance of over 30,000 km (16,400 nautical miles).
