German crane service provider Mikschl Autokrane has renewed its fleet by purchasing two mobile cranes from Liebherr, adding its eighth and ninth cranes from the manufacturer.
With a 230-tonne load capacity, the LTM 1230-5.1 will replace the 220-tonne mobile crane in Mikschl Autokrane’s fleet. Given its 75 m-long telescopic boom, it will be used for demanding jobs such as assembling tower cranes or wind turbine maintenance work. The 5-axle crane is equipped with Liebherr’s VarioBase Plus, allowing for high lifting capacities using its widened outriggers.
Mikschl Autokrane has also purchased an LTM 1070-4.2 mobile crane, replacing the firm’s previous 60-tonne capacity model. “The new 70-tonne crane is a very compact 4-axle crane that can be used on almost all construction sites in its class,” said Roland Mikschl, managing director of Mikschl Autokrane. “Above all, it is a very powerful crane that allows us to carry a lot of ballast when travelling on the road.”
Both the fuel consumption and noise of the LTM 1070-4.2 is reduced thanks to being equipped with ECOmode and ECOdrive features. Meanwhile, the speed-dependent rear axle steering makes the crane all-terrain capable and manoeuvrable.
Based in Aichach, Mikschl Autokrane also operates from Munich, Augsburg, Ingolstadt and Donauwörth.
