Blue Water begins Greenland project

Blue Water Shipping has been involved in a major chartering operation for Denmark-based Munck Civil Engineering.

During August, Munck Civil Engineering won its largest-ever contract – a four-year airport construction project in Nuuk, Greenland.

Blue Water’s first major assignment was the delivery of materials, equipment and modules from Nyborg and the Icelandic towns of Husavik and Hafnafjordur to Greenland. Blue Water’s offices in Esbjerg, Lindo (Denmark), Reykjavik (Iceland) and Nuuk worked together and chartered the Briese-controlled multipurpose vessel BBC Lagos for this project.

Blue Water Shipping has five offices in Greenland and the company has also established an in-house presence at Munck Civil Engineering’s office in Nyborg.
