EGL moves transformer trio

Egyptian Global Logistics (EGL) has moved three transformers at the Abu Qir power plant in Egypt.

The project scope included jacking and skidding the transformers into position on behalf of Siemens. Each transformer weighed 116 tons (105.2 tonnes).

EGL explained that the project was particularly challenging as the transformers had to be rotated 90 degrees before being installed on their foundations.
