November 27 - AG&P ALE Ventures, an Australian consortium consisting of AG&P, an industrial process outsourcing company; and strategic heavy lift service provider ALE, have together developed Hydro Deck - an innovative transition pontoon.

The Hydro Deck measures 140 m x 40 m x 12 m and will work in conjunction with a modular offloading facility, enabling the load-in operations for loads of up to 17,000 metric tons, regardless of tidal conditions.

The first Hydro Deck has been ordered to aid a project in Darwin, Northern Territories, Australia - where a tidal variation of up to 8 metres can cause severe delays to discharging vessels and project schedules.
