July 4 - The Singapore Shipping Association (SSA) held its 17th annual general meeting on July 2, 2013 at the Marina Mandarin Hotel in Singapore, at which the SAA members elected its new council.
The newly-elected council members are: Esben Poulsson, chairman (AVRA International); Patrick Phoon, deputy managing director (Evergreen Shipping Agency Singapore); René Piil Pedersen, director (Maersk Singapore); Aloysius Seow, coo (Ocean Tankers); Tan Chin Hee, director (Pacific Carriers); Lisa Teo, executive director corporate development (Pacific International Lines) and Carsten Brix Ostenfeldt, chief executive officer (Thome Ship Management).
The seven new council members appointed the following office bearers: Patrick Phoon, president; Esben Poulsson, honorary secretary; Lisa Teo, honorary treasurer.
