Straightpoint weighs up in the Netherlands

The Netherlands-based lifting and rigging equipment rental company LGH Hijsmaterieel has utilised four Straightpoint compression load cells to confirm the weight and centre of gravity of a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) machine.

LGH chose 10-ton (9-tonne) capacity wireless compression load cells to record data before the MRI unit was placed on a trailer for relocation. Westdijk Exceptioneel Transport handled the road transport of the component from the facility to Rotterdam.

Straightpoint’s compression load cells have a wireless range up to 700 m from the SW-HHP or wireless centre of gravity software. In this case, the software was installed on a laptop.

The load cells then verified the centre of gravity and weight of the MRI machine and displayed the data in a HTML report.
