BNSF Logistics has transported three transformers from Baltimore to a substation in Maryland, USA. 

Each transformer weighed 470,000 lbs (213.8 tonnes) and measured 7.8 m x 3.5 m x 4.3 m.

The transformers were transported by road to the substation in Dundalk, Maryland where engineers from BNSF Logistics handled the jack and slide operations. 

BNSF’s scope of work also included rotating the transformers and positioning them on their foundations. 

BNSF Logistics is a member of the Worldwide Project Consortium (WWPC) in the USA.
