Boa has launched three floating substructures for the Eolmed offshore wind project off the coast of Gruissan, France.
The company’s scope covered engineering support, project management, and the full suite of marine operations to deliver the floating units to their designated quay. The work utilised the semi-submersible Boabarge 35 and the ASD tug Boa Brage, supported by local tugs. Heavy lift and transport engineering specialist Sarens handled the load-out operations.
Boa highlighted the strength, capacity, and advanced submerging capabilities of the Boabarge 35, which ensured safe and controlled load-out, transport, and float-off procedures. The Eolmed project will feature three 10 MW turbines once complete.
