Bolloré Logistics has delivered 30,000 tonnes of equipment for a solar project in the Atacama region of Chile.

Colbun Solar Park

The project involved delivering 10 containers per day, from Monday to Saturday, over the course of a year from the port of Angamos to the site of Diego Almagro, approximately 500 km away.

Bolloré Logistics Chile contracted an exclusive agreement with a road transport company in the Atacama region to perform the works. The main challenges were obtaining the required certifications to enter the work site as well as managing the rotation of trucks to coordinate simultaneously with the loading and delivering operations.

“We are very happy to have successfully completed the Solar Diego de Almagro project since being awarded this operation by Colbún in 2020,” commented Jorge Ramirez, director of industrial projects in Chile. “We have demonstrated all our expertise to be able to successfully carry out this time-sensitive project. Participating in the construction of this power plant that will generate renewable and clean energy as part of the sustainable development of Chile has made us very proud.”
