Crowley carries bridges for Rio Abajo

Crowley Maritime Corporation has transported multiple bridges, as well as an IMT AF-160 drill, to Puerto Rico to support the roadway reconstruction efforts in the Utuado region.

As part of a project that will restore access to Rio Abajo in the aftermath of Hurricane Maria, Crowley transported each bridge in sections, shipping the components in up to 19 containers and on several flatbeds.

The drill, which weighed 119,000 lbs (53.9 tonnes), will be used to set the foundations for the bridges.
