Turkish heavy lift and transport engineering company Hareket has been keeping busy working on the installation, dismantling and transport of heavy and oversized components.
The first project involved the installation of four stack modules, which weighed more than 100 tonnes each. A Tadano AC500-8 crane, which has a lifting capacity of 500 tonnes, was used to install the stack. The total stack will reach a height of 82 m.
Meanwhile, Hareket has also been on hand to dismantle two steel bridges, each measuring 62 m x 6 m x 9 m, and weighing 250 tonnes respectively. The company opted for a tandem lift, including a 750-tonne capacity mobile crane and a 600-tonne capacity crawler crane to dismantle the components, which were then transported within the site using a 20-axle modular trailer configuration.
Last month, HLPFI reported that Hareket had invested in two state-of-the-art barges and signed an order agreement for 88 cranes from manufacturer Sany.
