Kamor Logistics has transported a 160-tonne transformer from Balikesir in Turkey to Ashdod port in Israel.

The shipment, delivered on behalf of Israeli Electricity Company, also comprised16 wooden cases of accessories. The transformer had been sent for refurbishment in Turkey last year.

Kamor Logistics chartered the general cargo coaster vessel Altius for the transport. The transformer was first delivered to the port of Aliaga in Turkey via heavy-duty lowbed trailer where it was loaded onto the vessel for onward transport.

Upon arrival in Ashdod, Kamor deployed two hydraulic cranes to discharge the cargoes.
