Reactors head to Riyadh

Four hydrocracker reactors from Walter Tosto have departed the port of Ortona, Italy onboard a Jumbo heavy lift vessel.

Measuring 21 m in length and with a diameter of more than 5 m, the components are the last four units to be shipped to Riyadh for a refinery project in Saudi Arabia. In total, Walter Tosto has supplied eight reactors of the same type for the project.

Each reactor weighed 340 tons (308.4 tonnes). The first two were manufactured in Chieti, Italy and shipped last October. Two more reactors were manufactured in Bucharest and transported from the port of Constanta, Romania.
