March 30 - Braemar SA has established a new subsidiary company in Turkey and opened an office in Istanbul.

The Istanbul office is currently based in the Besiktas district of the city, but will be moving to new premises in the Kadikoy district in the future. The office will be headed up by naval architect and marine engineer Uluç M?rek.

Braemar managing director Nigel Clark said that the company is seeing an increased level of activity within the eastern Mediterranean/Black Sea region, especially in Turkey.

He explained that the new office in Istanbul, along with its existing offices in Bulgaria and Greece, will be able to offer the full range of marine surveying, casualty investigation, consultancy, marine warranty and risk management services.
