June 14 - Conbit, the Dutch special lifting and structural engineering experts, has completed its most challenging lifting job to date.

A 44 tonne accommodation unit was lifted onto the K6-P platform of Total E&P Netherlands in the North Sea.

The lift was performed with a temporary lifting system installed on the helideck.

Conbit says that this project proves the effectiveness and the broad capabilities of light weight lifting systems.

It adds that the use of fast lifting winches and well trained rope access technicians in combination with experienced engineers for project preparation makes these kinds of unique projects possible.

The combination of structural engineering and special lifting leads to unconventional, but safe and efficient lifting solutions.

Conbit was established in 1993 in the south of the Netherlands. Originally the company focused on structural engineering, but then entered the special lifting market.
