July 12 - At its California, USA base Aeros took another step forwards in its rigid cargo airship development.

On July 4 the company rolled out the Aeroscraft - a scale model of the 250 tonne lifting capacity airship - from its hangar for the first time. The Aeroscraft - named Dragon Dream - is currently completing pre-flight preparations and is expected to fly for the first time later this summer.

According to Aeros, the innovative airship is able to fly over 3,000 nautical miles, achieve true vertical takeoff and landing at maximum payload, hover over unprepared surfaces, and offload over-dimensional cargoes directly to point of need.
