The vessel was named Höegh Jeddah at a naming ceremony in Mangalia, Romania.
Höegh Jeddah is the second in a series of two vessels, which have a car carrying capacity of 6,500, delivered to Höegh Autoliners from Daewoo Mangalia Heavy Industries this year.
Ingar Skiaker, ceo of Höegh Autoliners, commented on the vessel delivery: "Both Höegh Jeddah and her sister Höegh Jacksonville are part of our fleet renewal programme, replacing older vessels that are being phased out."
Höegh Jeddah will be operated by Höegh Autoliners through a long-term bareboat charter from the vessel's owners, Ocean Yield AS.
